There is one un-proved theory that the smoking of cannabis can increase chances of Skitzofrenia by 40% of the current factor, making the theory percentage of Skitzofrenia while under the influence of cannabis still under 1% which is really un-reliable. Already it is averaged that 27% of the UK population is smoking Cannabis illegally, so even chance of skitzofrenia developing increased, a large majourity of the citizens probably do not receive the actual needed medical/mental assistance. It has been proven that Cannabis is much less harmful than the smoking of Tobacco (Which is legalized!) and alcohole! Deaths caused by smoking tobacco each year (GLOBALLY) : 2,386,177 Deaths caused by drinking alcohole each year (GLOBALLY) : 682,109 Deaths caused by smoking Cannabis each year (GLOBALLY : 0 So even the daily death tolls in the UK alone, just from smoking tobacco is considerably more than the deaths caused from intake of Cannabis. And if you bare in mind the good sides of Cannabis, I'll explain. Cannabis contains a large active level of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) which makes the consumer feel good. (Laughing, Creativity, Confort) and a bad out-come, paranoia. I belive that Cannabis should be a legal smoking substance for the ages of 18+ due to many obviouse reasons. Also another few active substances in Cannabis, called Cannabiniods; TBD (cannabidiol) being the main Cannabinoid: TBD can help releive people of physical pains, and as im sure people are aware of how before Cannabis became an illegal substance, it was used medically. This is because THD is not only good for pain releif but may also be theraputic for patients with elpilepsy. Also, even though the smoking of Cannabis is not under my religeon, there are people living in the UK which smoking cannabis is in their religeon, and restricting that community from satisfying their religeous beliefs. Cannabis is a herb, and people should be able to make their own choice of what natural herbs they chose to smoke, no matter the consiquences. Also the British government should concider the tourist action which would be brought to the UK or England, people would love to smoke Cannabis leagally, so not only would people come from all over the world to smoke here (like they do in the Netherlands) but it would be great UK (or English) marketing. 109 have signed so far - help us get to 35,000,000. Details, Impact and Progress I'm sure the legalisation of Cannabis would require a large percentage of the English community so to be extra extra safe, I put 40% of all UK citizens to insure the legalisation of this substance.
