This has, as a consequence, technically legalised marital rape. Every woman deserves the right to feel safe and secure in her own home. This law must be abolished for the future safety and well being of women in Afghanistan. Please sign to make this a possibility! 18 have signed so far - help us get to 10. Details, Impact and Progress Women should not be forced into situations they feel uncomfortable in and marriage should be based on sexual relations. Laws in Afghanistan need to change to protect ALL their citizens, not just men.
