Petition created by: dareal over 500 000 Zambian children who are suppose to be in school are not. this is a dark cloud over our future lift up your voice and lets join hands in compelling our leaders to take a noble decision of allocating more resources to our education sector. Details, Impact and Progress Zambia is an emerging democracy in Africa.despite the economic progress and sustained GDP growth in recent years,these developments have not trickled down to the people at the grass root. Zambia has committed itself to archiving the Millennium Development Goals by 2015. however over 500 000 Zambian children who are suppose to be in school are not due to poverty and limited school places.there are over 2500 community schools in Zambia but even such an enormous numbers of community schools has not been able to absorb the great number of children who need to be in school. You can help educate Zambian children by supporting this petition. more resources needs to be allocated to the education sector to enable this great number of children attain at least basic education as envisioned in MDG number 2. it can be done and it will be done if we all join our voices to educate our future.
