A valued member of our Network, Ms Jestina Mukoko, who is a Director of the Zimbabwe Peace Project (ZPP), has been taken from her home in the town of Norton, Zimbabwe and being held at Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison in Harare with several other human rights activists. Amnesty International considers Ms Jestina Mukoko to be a prisoner of conscience, held in violation of her rights to freedom of expression and association. Ms Mukoko's work aims at bringing about positive changes for securing human rights and bringing justice for her fellow citizens.
