  Education have said themselves that both schools do well so save money from somewhere else! Community is important to our island

  I am a former St Andrew's primary student and I believe the school provided me with a unique and excellent education. St Andrew's possessed an amazing sense of community and I feel like this is a sense of community that could be lost by integrating with other schools, I find this sad as I think community in Guernsey is outstanding and admirable - I would not like to see anything done to harm this. Furthermore, I believe integration can harm progress of students and moving the students around may make them feel alienated or unsupported during a change in school setting.

  Will the States representing the people go this island do what the people want for a change, just leave the schools open,. I can see some deputies loosing their seat in the house in the next election.

  Can we look into other area's where cutbacks are not so important? Education and Health are the two most important areas in my eyes. I understand that there's a budget Education affects the people of our future.
  If we can't have more of a say in how our island is run, then what is the point? The parents, grandparents and ultimately the children are losing faith in States members due to these decisions, should we not be working together. What happened to our community spirit?

  Far too good a school to close. Have said this all along and hopefully some of our so called political figures will do the right thing. After all that is what they were elected for.

  Doesn't seem any evidence that one form entry has been bad for St Andrew's children but the really important factor is the effect on the community - look at St Saviour where we are trying to build a Community Centre to create a cent of focus for the community

  My years at St Andrew's school were some of the best of my life. I'd always hoped my kids would one day go there too.
