Petition created by: Rajkumar Palaniswamy To The Chief Chennai Super Kings Chennai The Chief, BCCI, Head office India Dear Sir, Please be aware that there are more than 80 million Tamils all around the world and many of them are actively participating in boycott Srilanka campaign. This is because of the injustice meted out to Tamils for the past 60 years by the chauvinistic Srilankan government. We Tamils do not encourage any relations with Srilanka whether it is political, economical or sporting relationship until we Tamils get our justice and equal rights in the island. In this regard, we request you sever your ties with the Srilankan cricketers and please abandon any contracts with Srilankan cricketers who play for Chennai Super Kings cricket team. Your action will support millions of Tamils across the world who continuously protest against Srilanka for their war crimes. Already Srilankan Government has been convicted as war criminals by the Peoples Tribunal in the court of Dublin. Therefore please do not hesitate to remove these blood stained Srilankan cricketers from the Chennai cricket team. If you fail to do so, then we Tamils will be forced to boycott all your cricket matches and also would start protesting more seriously. Details, Impact and Progress The main aim of this petition is protest against Srilankan Cricketers playing in Tamilnadu. We want Chennai Cricket team to drop these players from the team. This petition will eventually open up eyes of all Indians and Indian goverment who constantly ignored the plight of the Tamils in Srilanka. Also this would further put up pressure on Government of Srilanka to treat the displaced war refugees with due care and make them respect the dignity of the Tamils. This will also favour the people who suffered heavy loss of belongings and lives during the final phase of war in Srilanka.
