7 signatures so far! Petition created by: Shoaib Khan In the past Pakistan's armed forces have contributed much to the inernational peace keeping forces in many parts of the world. It has been a traditional ally of the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) during the cold war and had played key role against the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. It has payed enough price for supporting NATO in it's cause. By including Pakistan as a full-fledged NATO member will help the country to bring these terrorist groups like Taliban under Pakistan's feet and will also send a message to its enemies of dire consequences in the future. Besides Pakistan it will be better if Afghanistan too is included in NATO so that under its influence the region will be save from these fundamentalists forces. At present Pakistan is a non-NATO ally but we demand Pakistan to be included as a full-fedged NATO member as strategically and economically too it is an important regional player in the future. 7 have signed so far - help us get to 17,000.
