Between the international institutions of Trieste, the College is one that diffuses the international understanding applied to the study between the young people of many Countries of the world. The 2000 young people that until today have graduated themselves to Duino, achieving the international bachelor's degree, have diffused in the world an immeasurable objective value and a deep tie with Trieste and the Region Friuli Venice Julia. In the biennium the 200 students continue to study beyond 30 languages and maternal literatures. Also the teaching body is being composed from 25 coming from teacher from 14 various nations. The resources for the operation of the College – for its purposes of European in international cooperation area in which it is inserted, for the presence of coming young people from underdeveloped nations and the Countries of Europa – they always have been in great part public. The contribution has been decided, based on the law, in the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. But from 2002 to the 2004 a total cut has been recorded nearly 759.000 euro, determining a situation that is becoming by now indefensible. For the exposed reasons the signers turn an appeal to the public authorities let alone to all the triestine and regional community, so that an extraordinary participation is carried out in order to save the United World College of the Adriatic, until the restoration of the financing current assured in the past.
