2 signatures so far! Petition created by: Simon Trudeau My petition is about an issue that really matters to me. It’s about something that everybody should be aware of. It’s global warming. This issue needs to be taken really seriously because we can already see a lot of impacts all over the world. I made this petition so that everybody become aware of effects which climate changes can have on our everyday life. I do not make this petition to save our planet because I understand that it is impossible to me to make it, but simply to put gestures which can help our environment to be more ecological. Indeed, of simple small gestures such as reducing our water consumption, recycling our batteries and stuff like that , to make composting, to do some car sharing to reduce our greenhouse gas emission as well as use products that are ecological and without exceeding of packagings. What I would want with this petition, it is that people who sign it, they are going to make something everyday which would be ecological and help our environment. Sign the petition! Details, Impact and Progress People have begun to worry about climate change approximately 20 years ago. The effects of these changes have increase in intensity with years and, nowadays, a reaction is imperative. It’s greenhouse gas emission effects which make increase the temperature of our planet and cause his disorder. The greenhouse effect is due to the presence of greenhouse gases contained in the atmosphere. A part of the solar radiation crosses the atmosphere and reache the ground, which in return emits a thermal radiation which is absorbed by the greenhouse gases, what warms the atmosphere, that after warms the ground (in the case of the Earth: the earth's crust, the biosphere and the hydrosphere). The greenhouse effect is not in itself harmful in the ecosystems. Without him, the Earth would be only a scoop of ice cream; nobody could probably live on it. The danger for the ecosystems lives in the too fast and too important variation of the climatic conditions so that most of the evolved species wouldn't be able to adjust in case of changes in temperature. Marine and littoral ecosystems could be also touched by an increase of the sea level and the modifications of sea currents. The human populations would obviously be touched. The global warming should produce a lot changes such as ; retreat of the glaciers, rise of the average level of the oceans, modification in terms of precipitation which can pull floods and droughts, increase in the frequency and the intensity of the climatic extreme events as hurricanes, cyclones, typhoons and tornadoes. In fact, hurricane Katrina is to compare with nothing has what is going to arrive if we don’t stop to pollute.
