With all of the changes introduced by digital technologies and new liteacies for youth, the education system has yet to fundamentally transform itself to meet the needs of a new generation. This petition herby condems industrial models of education as pushing students through curriculum and courses of study that emphasize repetition and memorization. This peition in turn calls for youth support to transform education by helping educators and parents to encourage and foster exploration, inquiry, collaboration, communication beyond local borders and the opportunity to engage 'information' in a way that is more personalized and responsive to our individual experiences, needs and differentiated learning styles.
