I was displaced from my country and stayed away for more than 30Years. I survived and escaped when i was only 5 years and beeing called names all these years has not been easy. It pains me so much when i remember all i went through. At last peace has come and am back home only about 5 years ago. Peace is so sweet and deserves to be preserved and cherished. Thank God Angola is enjoying the PEACE that eluded the country for almost 30 decades. Young people are a blessing and not a curse therefore let us bring them up in manner that will bring peace forever in the world.

It is important that they are brought up in a world that provides them with the freedom to speak out and the chance to do something that can make the world a better place. Save the children believes, all children in the world have right to be happy,healthy and secure in their life!!! Any war is a crime comitted on children. They are innocent souls hurt and ignored by those around them when it comes to wars. They always yell out "let there be peace"but are never heard. This is wrong. Youth deserve to be heard and make a change to their their world, for a brighter future. So why doesn't this sorry excuse for a world listen to us, the youth, for once. Ethnic wars in Africa & eastern Europe, Sri Lanka, Palestine- Israel, Philippines- Cambodia, Cultural wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, boundary wars in Indian sub-continent - all these have robbed innocent children of their right to joyful childhood, and made most of them Orphans. Some of them have been maimed for life for no fault of them while some of them killed. The media images of these incidents will bring tears even to a tyrant.
Why people fight wars when they fully know the result is destruction? For what, when the future is not certain? for whom, if children lose their lives?
Common folks may not be aware of the reasons.The powers that be- The Protocolers know fully well the results and are encouraging such wars by financing them.
If people still do not wake up to the reality, the whole world would be engulfed in smoke of wars. I pray Almighty that wit returns to people and peace to the World. Amen! I must say Kenya was tautaed as one of the most peaceful nations in Africa. We seemed to have it all. Peace, economic growth, a concientus leadership and we took it all for granted. 2 years ago, we woke up and realised that the country was on fire. the change that we had fought for was not going to be forthcoming. the youth were up in arms. the politicians were exchanging deragatory and inflamatory statements. through out my life, I had read of the war zones and empathised with those involved. I got a taste of what it rally means to be at war. I may not have the whole ppicture, as say, someone who has been born with war and has lived with it for 20 or 30 years, but I have had a taste and we must fight to stop this. We are on people regardless of tribe or colour, nation or dialect. In todays world especially in Africa where they fight they are fighting is based on what they will get at the end.
Immagine here in Nigeria, in a Ekiti State where they did a governortorian election and there was a foulplay, the electorial head person threat to resigned but after a while she freezed again.
Now, there is understanding that one of the party bribed their way in so to enable them win a favour, it is said they bribed 250million Naira. What am trying to say here is, this are the things that are always bringing forth conflict in our societies.
Lets stand to defend our rights but let it be wisdomly handled to winning such wars.
Love, then peace to the world This is a nice opportunity to make the youth residing in the peaceful parts of the world to realize how fortunate they are that they don't have to endure seemingly pointless battles. Also, this is a wonderful chance to take part in an advocacy which would ignite a new spark of hope in the hearts of the youth living within the conflict zones, and would spare the lives of the innocent children trapped in a chaotic world ruled by adults. we must care for them, because they are victims of adults who are always right and does not want is wrong. but I believe they can survive all of the things that happen because they are protected by the gods, and I believe they can make changes. because they were created to make peace Being from a priviledged country, I don't think I can fully understand what it must be like for this children. But, I do understand pain. I also understand that pain in these particular circumstances is far beyond what the majority of the world's youth has endured, including myself. I can't comprehend a lot of the decisions our governments and world 'super-powers' make, because ultimately, they are not helping these poor children. I think it's time that something is done, and while I realise it would be hard, something must be done. It is inhumane to let them continue to live like this. Hopefully, future generations can make decisions that better aid those who can not help themselves. Do whatever you can wherever you are with whatever you have!!! according to many sources their are more than 300.000 children who have been directly and indirectly been participated in armed conflict and these children have suffered the worst abuses of all, they have been beaten, tortured, killed, raped, and traumatized with their expereinces. and they need to get as much attention as possible to re integrate and rehabilitate the children again.
we have to speak out for the millions of childrens who suffer from hardship of wars and lied quiet in their forever silence!! They are kids and humans with dreams that can't be accomplished. i watch the suffering of kids starving to dealth,not being able to succed thier potential, losing loves ones evryday,and beind surrouned by the bloody dramic enviroment they have to live in every day. help!! make a difference we all need to make a better tomarrow for everyone!! these children are the innocent victims caught up in strife beyond their comprehension. helping these kids.. is helping our future. x I beleive that as young people we can make the change we are seeking for. I am happy that we can now be bold to face this challenge and I would like to know who brought out this idea 'cause I am a victim and this is why we the Liberians are avocating for the establishment of the WAR CRIME COURT IN LIBERIA to bring the perpetrators to book. Certainly and Unfortunately, we won't see results immediately, it will take time, maybe a lot of time... But, we just have to continue willing, trying our best. Who knows, maybe, someday, our children or grand children will see a different world?! Fortunately, there are still people that struggle and fight to make the difference!
Far from those atrocities, we think that we're safe and will never live or face such horrible situations but I think our lives, our fates hang by a thread... Our safety too, for sure!! Lets show these children and youths how much we really care,give real Hope,Create real Change NOW! Je condamne toutes ces atrocités, et je défends et soutiens ces enfants. Je défends et je souhaite leurs droit de vivre et de grandir dans la dignité et la fierté. Leurs droits à etre protégé, respécté. Leurs droits de choisir, de s'exprimer, d'apprendre. Enfin, leur droit de vivre et d'être enfant.
Pour l'instant, je ne peux pas agir " pleinement " à cause de mon âge. C'est pourquoi je m'en remet à l'ONU, aux politiques, aux ONG, aux bénévoles et tout les adultes qui s'impliquent dans ces actions ; et je leur demande de les aider, ces enfants, et d'en faire leur première préoccupation.

Desde Colombia a diario llegan muchas familias desplazadas por el conflicto, así mismo miles de personas enfrentan el reclutamiento de sus hijos e hijas por los grupos armados irregulares, (guerrillas, paramilitares). Toda vez que nos encontremos con una persona colombiana, detengamonos a pensar sobre cual será su historia, que hay detrás de esa persona a la que la escuchamos diferente. Tendrán niños? No es sólo simples historias de huida, son verdaras atrocidades las que suceden, tal punto de huir de sus países. Podría pasarnos a nosotros, en cualquier parte del mundo un conflicto se desata y miles de personas quedan en el medio.... y miles de niños son parte del conflicto...
Ser solidarios y coherentes en un primer paso, el resto sólo son acciones!!!!! Parece increíble que estando en el año 2008, con tanta tecnología, globalización y demás, sigan existiendo tantas atrocidades como lo es una guerra. ¿Como es posible que sigamos comportándonos como animales? Son cosas que uno se plantea cuando ve un noticiero por ejemplo. Todos los días vemos como mueren seres humanos en combates dignos de los mas salvajes de los animales, y seguimos conviviendo con esto como si fuera algo natural. Después de todo, parece que lo es, es algo tan habitual que cuando vemos que un nene de 1 año murió a causa de la pobreza o la falta de protección por parte de sus tutores, no nos sorprendemos. Basta de comportarnos como salvajes, basta de violencia, y no solo física, la violencia se manifiesta de muchas formas, como lo es un simple insulto. Empecemos nosotros a cambiar esto, nosotros somos el futuro, no nos comportemos como lo hacen los adultos, no los imitemos. Nosotros podemos cambiar el mundo. Es solo cuestión de empezar por cambiar nosotros, y nuestro entorno. Luchemos porque la guerra sea algo malo, algo totalmente inconcebible para cualquier cabecita. My country was been subjected to political turmoil for the past 60 years, which changing governments and policies. things have gotten worse for the past few years specially, last year, where violence and suicide bombing all over the country have become a common feature. resulting in widespread unrest, fear and street voilence. Inflation in on the rise, causing havoc for the poor people, specially children, who get wffected the most. We need world free from human right abuses,Voices of Change,Voices of Freedom,Voices of Hope for the youths of the world I am Maina from Nyeri in Kenya. My country has always been an icon of hope and peace in the African continent. This situation changed drastically after the 2007 general election. Most town in the country are rocked with violence of killings and destruction of property. Ethnic clashes is the order of the day though peace negotiations are going on at the moment. We are hopeful that the situation will get back to normal. In my view, the bearers of the aftermath of the violence are women and children who are at risk of being attacked while in their homes or in school. Pregnant and lactating mothers are in refugee camps with so much discomfort. Children are not going to school due to the insecurity on the country.
Kenya is a wonderful country to live and work in. In my heart I know we shall pull out of the current situation victoriously and not end up in the trench our neighbouring countries are in.
Remember the children and women of Kenya, Remember the children of Africa. Les enfants sont l'espoir de demain. There is almost a link between poverty and most of the problems bedeviling society; and these problems would be non-existent in a poverty free society. Around the world today, people are so poor that they can hardly afford to eat. There is need for globalized efforts at poverty eradication; not just alleviation that just scratches the surface, leaving the core intact. At the end of the day, a poverty free citizenry is cheaper to manage than a poverty ridden one. To make a difference, this has to be a joint cooperation. I LOVE MY WORLD. Les enfants doivent etre respecter dans les conflits dans le monde, nous devons les maitre dans des arbri pour les protéger des combat. Espero que la paz tendra existencia en nuestro mundo. We, youth from all different countries are here to sign the petition for the security and improvement of the condition for the children that were affected by the conflicts. When the government cannot support them it is the duty of UN to listen and help. So why not sign the petition and hear what youth is concerned about? It is time for u to stop saying youths are leaders of tomorrow, because the truth is they are leaders of today and tomorrow's advisors. No se puede ignorar lo que esta pasando en el mundo, ya que los primeros afectados son los niños y jóvenes, y que culpa tienen ellos???? por ente hay que luchar por el bienestar de los mismos, ya que son el futuro de del país, En particular, soy un joven de 15 años, quien cada dia que amanece me levanto con miedo por lo que me pueda pasarme o lo que le pueda pasar a mi familia, de que las guerra estén matando a miles de personas en todo el mundo, y nuestro presidente lo que hace es estar pendiente de regalar a otros países mientras el nuestro se esta destruyendo, y no hay nada de malo en ayudar, soy partidario, pero lo que no concibo es como Venezuela esta tan pobre si cada día el petróleo sale mas, Les hago un llamado a todos los jóvenes, que luchemos nuestro futuro y que le pidamos a Dios, nuestro padre que nos de mucha fortaleza para seguir adelante, y que con nuestra inocencia, alegría y oraciones ayudemos a convertir el mundo por uno mejor y feliz,. donde no haya delincuencia, narcotráfico, muertes injustas, y sobre todo jóvenes perdidos por un camino oscuro, quienes han sidos llevados por el mismo. Que Dios nos bendiga a todos y que sea el quien nos ayude en esta protesta, y no olvidemos la esperanza es lo último que se pierde, y por ente no la debemos perder. Muchas gracias a este organismo por permitir que cada joven y niño pueda defender sus derechos.

Se requiere de un cambio social global decidido! en Colombia desde sus inicios se ha visto envuelta en terribles problemas debido a la falta de legitimidad y eficacia del Estado ya que todo el dinero que recibe de EU lo ha estado usando para armarse y entrenar a militares entrenandolos para hacer sufrir a sus pobladores ya que es mentira que vayan directo con las guerrillas y paramilitares. Aun cuando dentro de su constitucion y en la declaracion de los derechos de los niños esten bien establecido que se protegera a los niños brindandoles seguridad y estabilidad, esto esta muy distante se ser realidad, el gobierno deberia de hacer un alto y ver realmente lo que sus pobladores necesitan y no orillarlos a desplazarse de departamento a departamento hasta hacerlos irse a otro pais. Los niños son la base de una sociedad son el futuro y si a ellos dañamos el cancer de la guerra y la pobreza seguira siendo un circulo vicioso. The world should be open to the young people with the opportunity to work, to gain knowledge and skills and thus enable them to participate in all fields of decision making process in the social and cultural life in the community and all levels.
The youth are frustrated because of a lack of entertainment, a lack of employment opportunities, an obsolete educational system and an uncertain political climate. Observations reveals that this frustration is a gateway to violence, alcohol abuse, Juvenile Delinquency and deadliest of all drugs. This national problem is of course also an international problem and a problem that is like Mythical Hydra, the serpent with many heads.
So, please open it and provide opportunities for them to survive in a mentally-physically-healthy environment free from all hazards.

Nous devons prendre responsabilites de nos actes, agir de facons plus sages. J'AIME mon continent, mais tant que nosu n'aceppterons pas nos propres defauts rien ne changeras en Afrique. Nos chefs d'Etats devront comdamnes ce carnages, pas les Etas unis. Yo condeno con con dolor y tristeza, las atrocidades que viven los niños y jovenes de Colombia. Un pais hermoso , que esta progresando. Un pais que ha sufrido por más de 50 años , las injusticias de la guerra , el narcotráfico y el terrorismo. Pero aún así seguimos luchando. Luchando con nuestro pasado para obtener un mejor futuro, sinembargo en estos momentos los niños y los jóvenes de Colombia, tenemos que vivir con las huellas del pasado. Huellas de Dolor, Sufrimiento y Sangre. Es momento de parar esta terrible cadena:
¡No más niños entrando a la guerrilla!! ¡No más niños trabajando forsosamente!! ¡No más abuso sexual! Queremos más seguridad, queremos un ambiente donde nos podamos desarrollar sin miEDO!!
