I think millenium development goals are a sure step in achieving global sanity, welfare and tranquility. not only should things be commited on paper but they to be implemented because its been 8 years since these goals were set and we are only remaining with 7 years to achieve these goals.but the current situation on the grounds is still devastating because almost 65 - 70 % of africans are still in abject poverty and still so many lives are been claimed because of epidemics such as malaria and HIV/AIDS. Thus, it is my appeal to our world governing bodies and respective governments to seriously look into this matter and fulfill on what they agreed upon in the year 2000.

Let's carry on signing this petitition until our voice will be heard ! All for one and one for all.. I agree with Langsun that people who are directly affected especially from the rural communities should be involved in MDG policy making, because they've been through the hurdles and can easily tell of the possible way out of these issues.
May God help Us. People from poor communities but have experience in development projects should be involved in taking decissions It would be wonderful to include tribals and poor communities in this great project of achieving MDgoal. power to the poor people

The MDGS IS A GOOD PACKAGE,BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT HAS BEEN WRITTEN,BUT HOW MANY GOVERNMENTS WOULD IMPLEMENT IT? This is a great petition. It is letting the adult world understand that we care. They need to be reminded that there is a generation of youth who are growing up in this deteriorating world; we have fight to save our futures. If we could all strive towards the actualisation of this cohesive ability I strongly believe we will go a long way towards inculcating ICTs as a home grown tradition in all spheres of a goal-driven societies. this is a great!!!
fithyr@hotmail.com THE MDGs ARE GREAT POLICY. BUT WILL OUR RESPECTIVE GOVERNMENT PAY MUCH ATTENTION TO THEM? IBN THE PAST POLICY AND STRATEGY HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED BEFORE BUT AS SOON AS THEY WERE SIGNED THEY WERE PLACED IN THE PAPER SHREDDER AND FROM THERE TO THE INCENIRATOR.
FOR THE THIRD WORLD TO ACHIEVE HALF OF THESE GOALS BY 2030 ALTHOUGH ITS A LONG TIME BY OUR STANDARD(YOUTHS) WOULD BE A MIRACLE WHICH INVOLVE REWRITING THE DNA OF THEIR CORRUPT MIND.

Lagos-Nigeria The Acheivement of Millenium Development Goals is not only a necessity but a real OBLIGATION for Sustainable Development. It is a good concise petition. The MDGs are yet to be mainstreamed, but we need to push that agenda. I think these Millennium Developpement Goals are great. everyone must know them and work for their achievements thru ICTs (sure! )
Yes we can take responsibility to remind our govt to carry out neccessary step to conduct MDG objectives. This petition is awesome .It should be directed to government of third wolrd country so we see some changes in their way of governing . this is good idea was very inspiring very nesesary this is excellent ya this petition is super!!! I think the Millenium Development Goals are great, I just wish they had also set a goal for meaningful use of ICT in the development process!
