Oshawa N.A.S.C. Hockey has been providing recreational hockey for the Children of Oshawa for over 60 Years. The organization is run solely by volunteers in the City of Oshawa.

Please help us send a message to city council to clearly tell them that what they are proposing is NOT acceptable to the taxpayers and more importantly, the children in our city.

460 have signed so far - help us get to 5,000.

We have achieved 9.2% of our goal. Let's keep going!

Details, Impact and Progress

Have your voice heard. Tell Oshawa City Council, No! Closing arenas is NOT acceptable.

City council has buried in the proposed budget, closing of Harman Park Arena to use this land to park GARBAGE TRUCKS!

Closing these arenas means more than just saving money. Closing these arenas means there will be nothing in the south end of the city for our children.

Council is proposing this closures in addition to adding new "user fees" for outdoor fields on top of the $25.00/hour surcharge we have been paying for the last 6 years. (The City now has almost 2 million dollars in this fund)

N.A.S.C. Hockey will be the single user group most affected by this closure as over 85% of the program ice is located at Harman Park arena.

In return, ALL groups will be affected. We fought for years for new arenas, if city council votes in favour of closing them, ALL user groups will be worse off than we were with the arena shortages and closings just a few short years ago!

Please join N.A.S.C. Hockey and show your support of ALL ice users in the city of Oshawa by clearly telling council that this is NOT acceptable.
