This petition has been organised to put an end to the filtering in Australia, before it begins! Existing reports (some even conducted by the Australian Government) show that ISPs and customers will be forced to pay if mandatory filtering is introduced. The 2003 Ovum report on filtering commissioned by the Howard Government even finds that smaller ISPs will not be able to absorb the costs like large ISPs. Furthermore, industry groups have all warned that the filtering can and will be bypassed. Why waste money on something that isn't going to work? Show your support by signing this petition.
