If you wanted to go to Saudi Arabia, you can buy your flight tickets for the cheapest deal available, whether it be from a travel agent online or in person. However, if you are intending to go to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage (Hajj or Umrah), certain airliners (e.g. British Airways) will instruct you to buy your tickets from an appointed agent who will on many occasions rip you off by charging you up to £150 or even more than the normal price available for anyone else going to Saudi Arabia for business or as a visitor. For example, British Airways instruct pilgrims to buy their tickets from Masterfare; you can go on ba.com yourself and see the disclaimer as you proceed to purchase a ticket. Why do pilgrims have to go through an appointed agent and pay more? Pay more for what? We get the same service as the next person on the plane, yet we have to pay more! The truth is - and everyone who has signed this petition testifies this - that this is nothing but a money making scam to rip off pilgrims! IF YOU BELIEVE THIS IS WRONG: 1.) Boycott these companies 2.) Spread the word about this campaign amongst family, friends, everyone you know and the whole world wide web OUR AIM: 1.) Put pressure on the airliners and their appointed agents involved to stop - what everyone who has signed this petition believes to be - discriminatory, immoral, unethical and greedy tactics to rip off innocent and hard working pilgrims; or to give us all a proper explanation as to why such a policy is needed WHO TO BOYCOTT (WE'LL UPDATE THIS, SO WATCH OUT ALL THE TIME) AIRLINERS British Airways British Midlands International TRAVEL AGENTS Masterfare - These guys are raking it in by being the appointed agents for British Airways and British Midlands International Opodo - These guys are smashing it by selling flights to everyone and anyone to Saudi Arabia, without even stating on their website that for certain airliners the tickets Opodo sell are totally invalid for Hajj & Umrah. Many people have been ripped off by buying from Opodo for their Hajj or Umrah flight; discovering only later their tickets are useless for them. Some people have bought tickets for their whole family and have been left crying! DO MORE Please call up all the above mentioned companies and voice your campaign as well.
