Some may think that using sports is a stretch for achieving peace but the people at UNESCO don't think so (visit http://portal.unesco.org/shs/en/ev.php-URL_ID=9536&URL_DO=DO_TOPIC&URL_SECTION=201.html). Sports, as we see with the Olympics and the WorldCup, creates commonality between different nations (at least at the level of the players).
I propose that we as a global community encourage youth to engage in sport instead of conflict in order to keep the peace in all of our communities.
