Agree, this petition is not only a good idea, but sends a clear message that African-American/Canadians are a well established part of society which took a long hard fight and struggle for equal rights to be accepted as part of society. We should not take this wanting to segregate African-American/Canadians as acceptable in any way.It goes against everything worked for and gained back in history,we should be moving forward into a true world of "Global Humanity";Tolerance, acceptance, understanding, equal rights! How do they expect these young people to actively parcipitate now or when adults within an ever increasing global community our rich technology has created if there is segretation? This is being done in Australia with our Aboriginal children from kindergarten-to primary school and is a dismal failure,as these young people have not the resources which allows them to fully be able to intergrate or relate into higher education.Leading to many Aboriginal youths and young adults being discriminated against by non Aboriginal class-mates,teachers,employers,police,other authorities,as intelligent these people are,the majority are left with no sense of hope towards achieving anything for oneself as the cultural hurdles created and now firmly embedded within the Australian social structure automatically continues this segretation-leading to high unemployment, loss of morals,self-respect,alchol and drug taking, anger, grief, pain and sense of forevor being trapped in this Social/Educational system of injustice. We must take action to not make the same mistakes being made here in my country,we must not allow these people to be diminished, dissavantaged or help to create a sub-culture of segretation that I personally experience everyday in life in which the Australian Government has been forced to set up many programms in order to address the many social, educational, housing as well as racial discrimination issues and all it's vast array of problems doing this has generated. Now years down the track Australia cannot cope with this enormous problem created towards helping to re-intergrate our Aboriginal community whom totally segrregated themselves from the rest of Australian Society as well as repairing the non-Aboriginal communities social attitude that most believe they are superior,Australia also likes to call itself a very multicural country;all they have avhieved by doing this is tp help promote racism, violence between both sides, greatly dissavantaged our Aboriginal community from children-adults,whats next some form of Canadian Aparthi?Do not understand the reasoning behind wanting to do this,Learn from history-learn from the mistakes of other countries!! Canada wake up and listen and examine your real motive for wanting to do this!As many Aboriginal youths in Australia are saying-"Why don't non-Aboriginal students have to learn our culture, our language, our ways if we are forced into segretation from the rest of society".What's good for one is just as good for another,Equal Rights,Equal Opportunities,Equal Education.Just Equality! Why is this so hard???

How long have african-American/Canadian fought to be accepted and be a part of our society. Now that they are why would they want to seperate?

This Petition is a good Idea. We shouldn't be going back in time to segregation, we should be moving foward.
