Unfortunately neither the local authorities nor the international institutions have paid sufficient attention and care for saving the lake. Details, Impact and Progress Salty winds will affect surrounding areas and also can damage farming. The salt-saturated lake threatens agriculture nearby as storms may carry the salt. There is a serious threat about the future of surrounding lands which are used to produce apples, grapes, walnuts, almonds, onions, potatoes, as well as aromatic herbal drinks, candies and tasty sweet pastes.
