Our Work has Worth - Stopping Unpaid Internships
Our work is valuable, it has worth, we work hard to gain experience, and we gain experience working hard. We must put an end to unpaid internships. They are unjust and take advantage of workers of all ages. Organizations often benefit from unpaid intern work as these workers are providing free hard labor to organizations to help prove themselves and land a job in the work world. As a civilization, we have come too far to be treating our fellow humans with a lack of respect and dignity by taking advantage of quality work while not compensating it. We must take responsibility of our future and profit organizations must become socially responsible by paying interns for their work.
